We are planning to publish, up to, three chapbooks a year.  At the moment we are concentrating on haiku/senryu books, with plans to expand this to other Tanshi forms over time.  Please note that, for the foreseeable future we are accepting chapbook submissions only from the U.K.

SUBMITTING A CHAPBOOK TO BUTTERFLY RAINDROPS

1.  We require fully formed A4 typescripts.  These must include:
      Title Page with author's name, e-mail address and
      pen name if relevant.
      Dedication Page (optional).  This can be as short or as long
      as you wish.
      Foreword (optional). If you have something you wish to
      say about the collection, this is your chance.
      Biography.  Around 500 words about you.  Please
      concentrate on the writing aspect of your life.
      Poems.  Exactly 40 pieces.  These can be haiku, senryu
      or a combination of both.  They can be 5-7-5 form, freeform,
      or a combination of both.  Please ensure there are four
      poems per page.

2.  Please ensure the typescript is in 12 point Ariel.

3.  Your typescript should be attached to the e-mail as a
      Word file, RTF or PDF.

4.  The body of the e-mail should contain: your name; pen
      name; address; title of the book and a short introduction.

5.  The subject box should contain the words: CHAPBOOK
      SUBMISSION; the title of your book and your name.

6.   If you have some image ideas for the cover of the book,
      please do not include these in the initial correspondence.
      This will be discussed if your typescript is accepted.

7.   Item six also applies to images for the interior of the book.

8.  Publication/distribution, etc, will be discussed if your
     typescript is accepted.

9.  Please allow 4-6 weeks for a reply.
